THOMAS LEACH
Funeral services will beheld today at 2 p.m. for Thomas Leach, 80, who passed away at his home in Cleveland, O., Sunday, March 5. He was brought to the Gorden Funeral Residence Wednesday where funeral services will be conducted with burial in Oakwood cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Anna Leach of Cleveland. Mr. Leach is a member of the Spanish War Veterans.
RICHARD HARDING
Richard Harding passed away at his home in Allegan Sunday, March 5 at the age of 80. He is at the Gorden Funeral Residence pending final funeral arrangements. He was born in Muskegon in 1870 and has resided in this vicinity since 1843.
Surviving are a brother,
Ray Harding, of Kalamazoo and a daughter Mrs. Pearl Sutherland of Muskegon and several grandchildren.
ALICE J. WRIGHT
Alice J. Wright 85, died Wednesday, March 1, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Reed Lewis, of Constantine.
She was born October 12, 1864 in Cass county the daughter of John and Elizabeth Rivear. Her early life was spent in Cass county where she married Gilbert Wright, who preceded her in death October 16, 1929. Afterwards she made her home with her daughters in Allegan and Three Rivers.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Bills of Allegan and Mrs. Reed Lewis of Constatine; a sister, Rady Emerson of Spokane Wash.;four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Austin Funeral Home Saturday at 2 o’clock with the Rev. W. J. Malcolm officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers.
JOHN CONVIS
John Frank Convis, 63 passed away at his home in Allegan Township Tuesday, February 28, Mr. Convis was at the Gorden Funeral Residence until Thursday, March 2, when he was taken to Hillsdale where funeral services were held with burial in Locust corners cemetery, Pittsford twp. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. R. E. Madden of Saugatuck, and Mrs. Oscar Swartz, Hudson.
Mr. Convis was born July 28, 1887 in Pittsford twp., the son of Frank and Josephine Convis and had resided in this county for many years.
SARAH DE VRIES
Sara DeVries, 77, passed away at the Allegan Health Center Friday, March 2. Mrs. DeVries is at the Gorden Funeral Residence and will betaken to Chicago. She is survived by two sons, William and John W. DeVries and four grandchildren, all of Chicago, Ill.
She was born Feb. 14, 1873 in Pelia, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Newlands and had resided in this vicinity the last 10 years.
GEORGE D. NEVIUS
Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at Whitehall, Mich.,for George D. Nevius, Allegan resident for many years, who died March 1, in Crispe hopsital in Plainwell.
Since the death of his wife six years ago he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Lillian Honeysett, Plainwell.
He was a former member of Allegan Central Grange and the Methodist church here. He was employed by the county highway department.
